In this folder are Win32 (compiled w/MinGW gcc 3.4.0) and Linux x86-64 (compiled w/gcc 3.4.5, kernel 2.6.9) binaries for zip 3.0 (7-1-08 release candidate) and unzip 6.0d beta as obtained from http://sourceforge.net/projects/infozip. All binaries have support for the bzip2 compression format. The new zip/unzip versions support the zip-64 (64-bit) file format. I've been testing zip 3.0/unzip 6.0 betas for months and they are now quite stable. The key advantage with the new 64-bit file format support is that one can now create and extract archives larger than 2 GiB. I have created archives up to 80 GiB without any issues.
